The Dayco Heater Tap is a 2 port valve designed to regulate the flow of coolant to the heater core. It is essential for controlling the heating inside your vehicle.

The Heater Control Valve is activated either by vacuum control in late model vehicles or by cable in earlier models. It effectively blocks coolant flow to the heater core when heating is not required, and allows flow when heating is needed.

Common failures of the Heater Control Valve include leakage, blocking, and cracking when removing heater hoses, especially in late model valves made of polymer.
