PAT Air Mass Meter Insert - AFM-124

Essential for the optimal functioning of your engine management system, the PAT Air Mass Meter Insert is a critical component that sits between your air filter and throttle body. This device measures the incoming air and often includes the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (ATS) as well. The data collected by this device assists your engine's ECU in determining the correct fuel mix, ignition timing, and sometimes even transmission shifting.

Features a tiny, electrically heated wire inside the sensor that directly represents airflow volume.
Can diagnose issues such as rough idle, sluggish performance, black exhaust smoke, and bad fuel economy.
Designed to reduce the issue of contamination from dust, dirt, or oil gunk.
Can be checked with the right scan tool or oscilloscope and compared to specs for your vehicle.
Warning codes on your dash can also indicate a problem (look out for codes starting with P0068, P0100, P0101, P0102, P0103, P0104).
Intake leaks or dodgy wiring can also affect the functioning of the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
