Designed to be positioned between your air filter and throttle body, the PAT Air Flow Meter is an essential element of your engine management system. This device measures the volume of incoming air and often incorporates the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (ATS) as well. The information it gathers is vital for your engine's ECU to accurately determine the fuel mix, ignition timing, and in some instances, even transmission shifting.

Warning codes on your dashboard can also indicate a problem (keep an eye out for codes starting with P0068, P0100, P0101, P0102, P0103, P0104). Remember, intake leaks or faulty wiring can also affect the performance of the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

PAT sources EFI and engine-management parts from established OE-type manufacturers and repackages some of them in Australia. The manufacturer inside can change between batches as supply changes — for example, a part once made by Hitachi may now come from Bosch. Every unit is an OE-type part from a recognised manufacturer.
