Transmission Speed Sensor
Transmission speed sensors are essential components that perform a contactless scan of a gear or trigger wheel in the transmission. They generate an electronic digital signal that is proportional to the speed of rotation.
These sensors work in conjunction with each other to provide accurate transmission data to the vehicle's engine control module (ECM) or transmission control unit (TCM). The first sensor, known as the input shaft speed (ISS) or primary sensor, monitors the speed of the transmission's input shaft. The second sensor, called the output shaft speed (OSS) or secondary sensor, plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation.
If either of these two sensors falls out of alignment or experiences electrical issues, it can significantly impact the overall performance and functionality of your vehicle's transmission.

Packaging: Manufacturers periodically update their packaging and labelling. You may receive the current or a previous design — the product, formulation and part number are unchanged.
Fitment (vehicle-specific products): For products listed to suit a specific vehicle, our fitment data is kept as accurate as possible, but vehicle catalogues are not perfect. Some models had more than one part fitted depending on build date, engine, or component size/variant. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm the part suits their vehicle before purchasing. If you have any doubt, please message us with your vehicle's registration number and state (preferred), or full VIN/build details, and we'll do our best to confirm before you buy.
