Transmission Speed Sensor
Transmission speed sensors are essential components in a vehicle's transmission system. They perform a contactless scan of a gear or trigger wheel in the transmission and generate an electronic digital signal that is proportional to the speed of rotation.
There are two main types of speed sensors that work together to provide accurate transmission data to the vehicle's engine control module or transmission control unit. The first is the input shaft speed (ISS) sensor, also known as the primary sensor, which monitors the speed of the transmission's input shaft. The second is the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor, also known as the secondary sensor.
If either of these two sensors falls out of alignment or experiences electrical issues, it can significantly affect the operation of your vehicle's entire transmission system.
Main Features:
- Contactless scan technology for accurate measurement
- Generates electronic digital signal proportional to rotation speed
- Works in conjunction with other sensors for precise data
- Vital component for proper functioning of your vehicle's transmission system
- Durable construction for long-lasting performance

Packaging: Manufacturers periodically update their packaging and labelling. You may receive the current or a previous design — the product, formulation and part number are unchanged.
Fitment (vehicle-specific products): For products listed to suit a specific vehicle, our fitment data is kept as accurate as possible, but vehicle catalogues are not perfect. Some models had more than one part fitted depending on build date, engine, or component size/variant. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm the part suits their vehicle before purchasing. If you have any doubt, please message us with your vehicle's registration number and state (preferred), or full VIN/build details, and we'll do our best to confirm before you buy.
