Penrite Transoil SAE 250 is a premium non-EP, API GL-1 rated gear oil designed specifically for veteran, vintage and Edwardian gearboxes, transaxles, and selected spur and bevel type rear axles.

  • Free from aggressive load-carrying additives that may cause corrosion damage to ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Compatible with leather and synthetic rubber seals
  • Suitable for use in manual transmissions and transaxles in veteran, vintage and Edwardian vehicles
  • Suitable for use in rear axles of veteran cars of one, two and four cylinders
  • Contains a special additive to assist load-carrying ability of the oil
  • Can be used in older-style hypoid gear sets
  • Colour: Amber | Density at 15°C: 0.901 kg/L
  • Kinematic Viscosity at 40°C: 1203 cSt | at 100°C: 66 cSt | Viscosity Index: 114
  • Contact with water or moisture should be avoided as seal degradation may occur
  • While this oil shares characteristics with the old 600W or steam cylinder oils, it must not be used as a steam cylinder oil
