Rather than a traditional accelerator cable, many modern vehicles use 'fly by wire' throttle technology. This system relies on a sensor that measures the pedal pressure and position and sends a signal to the vehicle's engine computer which converts to acceleration. Many of these fly by wire systems have a noticeable delay. The EVC EVC allows tuning of the signal from the accelerator pedal with multiple inbuilt settings to ensure finding a setting that suits any driving style.

The EVC EVC includes an automatic control function that changes the level of throttle performance based on pedal pressure. For instance, in traffic with gentle acceleration it will select setting 1; for hard acceleration or towing heavy loads it will select setting 9.

The modes are equipped with an intuitive display and settings menu for easy use:

  • Normal Mode: Replicates factory settings.
  • Economy Mode (E): Nine settings reduce response from the pedal to improve fuel economy and traction control in off-road situations.
