EVC Throttle Controller - EVC171

Rather than a traditional accelerator cable, many modern vehicles use 'fly by wire' throttle technology. This system relies on a sensor that measures the pedal pressure and position and sends a signal to the vehicle's engine computer which converts to acceleration. Many of these fly by wire systems have a noticeable delay. EVC allows you to tune the signal from the accelerator pedal with multiple inbuilt settings to ensure you find a setting that suits your driving style.

EVC includes an automatic control function that changes the level of throttle performance based on pedal pressure. So if you are in traffic and accelerating gently, the EVC will select setting 1. If you are accelerating hard to overtake, towing a heavy trailer, or just having fun, the EVC will select setting 9.

The Modes:

Normal Mode: Normal mode is simply a replication of the factory settings; essentially, the EVC is switched off.
Economy Mode (E): Economy mode has nine settings that reduce response from the pedal - The higher you go, the more dampened your throttle response becomes. By dampening the throttle we can see increases in fuel economy as well as far greater control of traction in off-road situations.

Ultimate Performance Mode: Ultimate performance mode has nine settings and can be grouped into three stages: Ultimate mode 1-3: Everyday driving with smooth acceleration Ultimate mode 4-6: Sportier, more responsive acceleration; great for use around town where short bursts of acceleration are needed Ultimate mode 7-9: Strap yourself in and activate launch control; instant throttle response; beast mode – don’t say we didn’t warn you. Transmission Settings: The EVC works equally well on both automatic and manual transmissions. There is an internal setting that changes voltage patterns to suit each type. Changing Settings: Drivers can change through modes at any time but it’s recommended not while pressing down on accelerator. Towing: Eco-mode helps delay responses so drivers concentrate better when reversing trailers reducing overcorrection chances. Sand/Mud/4WDing Situations: Eco-mode helps unstick vehicles bogged down without needing recovery gear whereas higher ultimate modes help quick burst accelerations getting out muddy holes improving grip. Click & Collect

Pick up can be made available from Mount Druitt, NSW only and only on items with a "Local Pick Up" option in the shipping options.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK WITH US TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN COLLECT THE ITEM AT THE TIME YOU WANT BEFORE BUYING.

Pick up times are generally between 9:00am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday but this can sometimes vary.

Please note: Pick up hours may be reduced or unavailable during public holidays and the Christmas/New Year period. Contact us to confirm availability before placing your order during these times.

In some cases we may need to transfer stock from our warehouse to the pick up location. If you need it straight away contact us before buying. Otherwise we can generally get items transferred within the same day if ordered before 11:30am.

The pickup timeframe is listed in each item description. Most items have a 3-4 hour minimum preparation time, while some items may take 1-2 business days. Please check the item description for specific timeframes.

Note: Some Tools & Bulk Engine Oils (20L) may take approx 3 days to arrive before it can be picked up.

Please allow a MINIMUM of 3-4 hours for your order to be ready.

Note: * some items will take longer than others as it may need to be transferred from another warehouse.

How Click & Collect works

1. Purchase online and select Click & Collect. Check the item description for specific pickup timeframes.
2. Once the item is ready for collection we will send you a message with pick up details.
3. Come in and collect your item at your convenience. Advise the counter staff that you are there to collect your online order, the product you are picking up, and your name.

Combined Pick Up

Multiple items purchased in the same transaction can be picked up together. Add all items to your cart and checkout at once with Click & Collect selected.
