Positioned between your air filter and throttle body, it measures the incoming air and often includes the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (ATS). The data collected by this device assists your engine's ECU in determining the correct fuel mix, ignition timing, and sometimes even transmission shifting.
- Features a tiny, electrically heated wire inside the sensor that directly represents airflow volume.
- Can detect and adjust to changes in airflow, ensuring optimal engine performance.
