Penrite Shelsley Light Classic Engine Oil 20W-60 5L
SHELSLEY LIGHT is a premium mineral 20W-60, high zinc, very low detergent engine oil designed specifically for petrol, kerosene and diesel fuelled vintage, pre-war and post-war vehicles manufactured to 1950.
- Suitable for passenger cars, motorcycles, 4WDs, light and heavy duty commercial vehicles, tractors and industrial machines that originally specified a SAE 30 monograde engine oil
- Ideal for small capacity vintage engines relying on splash lubrication, including sleeve valve engined cars such as Minerva, Mors, Knight and Daimler
- Suitable for early vintage (pre-1950) motorcycles with sight glasses, pilgrim oil pumps and total loss lubrication systems; compatible with wet clutch applications
- High zinc content (0.158% Zn) provides enhanced anti-wear protection for older engine designs
- Very low detergent formulation — those requiring higher detergency should use Penrite Classic Light Engine Oil
- Double layer of wear protection via high zinc and increased operating temperature viscosity over monograde oils
- Improved cold temperature pumpability (20W) for better start-up protection compared to SAE 30 monograde
- Contains a tacky additive to prevent oil draining from internal surfaces during lay-up, with an increased rust inhibitor level for corrosion protection
- Minimises sludge build-up, bearing corrosion and piston ring sticking
- API SC/CC performance level; exceeds original oil specification requirements of the era
- Viscosity: 206 cSt at 40°C, 23 cSt at 100°C; Viscosity Index: 138
- Made in Australia

Packaging: Manufacturers periodically update their packaging and labelling. You may receive the current or a previous design — the product, formulation and part number are unchanged.
Fitment (vehicle-specific products): For products listed to suit a specific vehicle, our fitment data is kept as accurate as possible, but vehicle catalogues are not perfect. Some models had more than one part fitted depending on build date, engine, or component size/variant. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm the part suits their vehicle before purchasing. If you have any doubt, please message us with your vehicle's registration number and state (preferred), or full VIN/build details, and we'll do our best to confirm before you buy.
