Goss Oil Pressure Switch OS0004

An oil pressure switch or sensor is designed to assess the integrity of an engine's lubrication system. The switch responds to any changes in engine oil pressure, and any fault is displayed via illumination of the oil pressure light in the dash.

Monitors correct levels of oil pressure
Mounted to the engine block or filter housing
Connected directly to the dash cluster
Alerts the ECU or indicates changes via oil gauge/light
Prevents low oil levels and potential engine damage
Symptoms of a faulty switch include:
- Oil pressure light comes on
- Oil pressure light inoperative
- Oil pressure light flickers
