The thermostat plays a vital role in engine management. A failed thermostat can cause various issues, such as your heater not working during winter or engine overheating, leading to costly repairs or even complete engine failure. Dayco thermostats are designed to OEM specifications and feature a heat sensing wax filled copper power pill. This power pill detects the coolant temperature in the engine, allowing the thermostat to control coolant flow from the radiator to quickly reach the optimum operating temperature. Once the operating temperature is reached, the Dayco thermostat allows coolant to circulate through the engine, creating the perfect temperature controlled engine environment.
