The thermostat plays a vital role in engine management. A failed thermostat can cause your heater to not work during winter or lead to engine overheating and costly repairs. Dayco thermostats are designed to OEM specifications and feature a heat sensing wax filled copper power pill that detects the coolant temperature in the engine. This amazing heat sensing power pill controls coolant flow from the radiator to quickly reach optimum operating temperature. Once the operating temperature is reached, it allows coolant to circulate through the engine, creating the perfect temperature controlled engine environment.
