Ignition coils are an integral part of any vehicle's ignition system. The ignition coil transforms the low-tension voltage into a high-tension voltage required to produce a spark at the spark plug.

• Generates a high voltage electrical pulse of approximately 45,000 volts to the spark plugs
• Made up of two sets of wire windings, one inside the other
• Creates an extremely high voltage in the inner winding when the field collapses after turning off the current
