Goss Ignition Coil
Ignition coils are an integral part of any vehicle's ignition system. The ignition coil transforms the low-tension voltage into a high-tension voltage required to produce a spark at the spark plug.
Goss has an extensive range of ignition coils to suit both OEM and aftermarket options. New coils are sourced from many of the world's leading OES and AM suppliers.
Product Features:
- Generates a high voltage electrical pulse of approximately 45,000 volts to the spark plugs
- Made up of two sets of wire windings, one inside the other
- Battery current flows from the battery to the outer, or primary winding, creating a magnetic field
- The field collapses when current is turned off, producing an extremely high voltage in the inner, or secondary winding
- This high voltage is used to create the ignition spark at the spark plug
