Goss Auxiliary Water Pump
Auxiliary Water Pumps are now fitted to many modern vehicles. They are used where heating or cooling functions need to be performed independently of the cooling circuit. The primary function of most units is to circulate warm coolant into larger heater cores now fitted to provide better passenger comfort. If this fails, too little coolant is circulated therefore the blower fan will pull heat out of the coolant causing the heater core to reduce in temperature.
