Product Description

Convoy DFX is a mineral, SAE 15W-40, FULL ZINC, mid ash, diesel engine oil made from pure hydrocracked base oils and an advanced anti-wear additive system for complete engine protection.

Licensed by the API (American Petroleum Institute) to meet CI-4 Plus and CI-4 specifications ensuring quality and satisfaction. It also exceeds European ACEA E7 as well as many other manufacturer's specifications.

APPLICATION

Convoy DFX is designed for use in 4, 6 & 8+ cylinder multi cam, naturally aspirated, supercharged, turbocharged common rail & direct injection diesel engines. It is designed predominantly for use in four stroke heavy duty diesel engines. It can be used in both on and off-highway applications, high speed and some medium speed diesel engines used in marine environments as well as for generator sets and agricultural equipment.

Convoy DFX is recommended for use in vehicles where SAE 15W-40 or SAE 20W-40 engine oils were originally recommended by the manufacturer.

Convoy DFX can be used in diesel engines where ACEA E7 or where API CI-4 Plus or CI-4 heavy duty engine oils are specified by the manufacturer. It can also be used where ACEA A3/B3 is recommended in model years prior to 2017 and where previous API specifications API CH-4, CG-4 or CF-4 is specified. It is suitable for use in many mixed fleets with older Petrol and LPG powered vehicles requiring an engine oil meeting API SL (2001-2004), API SJ (1998-2000), API SH (1994-1997) or API SG (1989-1993).

Convoy DFX is NOT recommended for use in diesels fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) that require an ACEA “C” grade Low-Mid SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus & Sulphur) engine oil. We recommend checking the recommendation guide for the correct grade and specification.

VEHICLE & FUEL TYPES

Convoy DFX is suitable for use in diesel engines in passenger cars, 4WD's, light & heavy duty commercial engines in trucks, tractors, agricultural & earthmoving equipment as well as industrial equipment such as forklifts & stationary engines. It can also be used with Petrol/E10/LPG (Dual Fuel). It is also suitable for use in petrol and LPG engines as a mixed fleet oil and can be used in motorcycles with wet clutches.

Please Note -

  1. Engines requiring later oil performance specifications should use Convoy DHD or Convoy DLA. Those with oil consumption problems (non EPA-04 engines) should use HPR Diesel SAE 20W-60.

  2. Convoy DFX replaces Diesel FX
